Poor Takako's husband left her for a robot.  He became obsessed with his Persocom and wouldn't let her come back home - nice guy.  So, enter the younger Shinbo, who loves her just how she is.  At first, Takako has a guilt complex about it, but Shinbo convinces her that his love is for real, and nothing else should matter.

   This layout drawing is from Chobits episode 16.  Takako is telling Shinbo that she talked to Hideki about her feelings, and he told her that you can't help who you love, making Takako feel much better :)
